Here are the steps to becoming a member of the Lowell Sportsmen’s Club:

(1) Membership Application: Download from here or pick one up at the clubhouse. Return completed application to the club by mail or bring it by in person with your payment.

(2) Sponsorship: The sponsoring member must be a member in good standing (dues paid, etc) for at least one year and present at one of the readings. If you do not know someone who can sponsor you, come to a meeting. You will meet many active members who are willing to sponsor new people! See the Current Events page for our next meeting.

(3) First Reading: The first reading is your official introduction to the club members. Portions of your application will be read out loud at the next club meeting. While attendance at this meeting is not required, it is recommended.

(4) Orientation: After the first reading, you will be contacted by a member of the Training Committee to arrange an Orientation class. This class will review the overall operation of the club, SOPs and Range Rules which govern the shooting facilities of the club. If you have any questions about the club or your membership, please feel free to ask at this class.

(5) Second Reading: Once the orientation has been completed, you will be expected to attend the next club meeting. Your application will once again be presented to the members. They will then vote to accept your request for membership. All individuals that are accepted will be presented with membership cards and welcomed at the meeting.

(6) Work Participation: As part of the application cost is a $40 work fee. This fee will be returned if you choose to participate in four hours of club related work activity (within the first year) and have the work form completed and signed by the attending Chairperson.
