Our Mission:
The purpose of the Lowell Sportsmen's Club (LSC) shall be to promote all legitimate sport with rod and gun, to
enforce the laws for the protection and propagation of fish and game within the State, and to secure such legislation
in this direction as may be needed.
LSC Organization:
Founded in 1913, the LSC is one of the areas oldest sportsmen's clubs. It was incorporated in 1931 and the first
bylaws were adopted on May 27, 1931. The current LSC Bylaws
were accepted in March, 2004. These bylaws define the overall operation of the club. More on the club's rich history

The club is lead by an Executive Committee consisting of 11 elected members. The Executive Committee includes 6
officers for the positions of President, Vice President, Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary, Communications
Secretary, and Treasurer. Information on the current Executive Committee can be found on the Executive Team page that is accessible to Members Only. Links to email the Executive

Club meetings are held at 8 p.m. every second Tuesday of each month and are run in accordance to Robert's Rules
of Order. New officers are elected at the December meeting and sworn in during the January meeting. An Executive
Committee meeting is held just prior to the general club meetings.
Various committees are formed as special needs arise to focus on specific tasks. A listing of the currently active
committees, their members, and their status is contained on the Committee
Page that is accessible to Members Only.
A newsletter is mailed to all members between 6 and 12 times a year. The latest club news and schedule information
is contained in the newsletter. Club news and minutes of meetings can also be found on the Club News page that is accessible to Members Only.
Membership:
Any person 18 yrs or older and a citizen of the United States may become a member provided he or she has no felony
convictions and can demonstrate they are of good moral character.
All applications for membership must be in writing on an application form approved by the Executive Committee,
signed by an LSC member in good standing, and presented at a club meeting. A majority vote shall be required for
acceptance of new members.

LSC members in good standing can obtain access to the Members Only areas of this web site by requesting
a password. After filling out the request form for membership access, the member's status will be verified and
an access code provided.
Facilities:
The LSC facilities consists of several ranges and buildings on approximately 70 acres of land:
The clubhouse consists of a large, divided function area and a kitchen. The six station indoor range is in the
basement of the clubhouse and is limited to pistols and .22 LR or smaller caliber rifles only. Only non-jacketed
ammo is allowed on the indoor range.
The 50 ft outdoor small bore range is for .22 and smaller caliber rifles and pistols.
All ranges are subject to the LSC's Standard Operating Procedures, or SOP. These procedures can be viewed
on the SOP Page or can be downloaded in their entirety
in PDF format. There are also specific range rules for the Big Bore Range and the Indoor Range that can be downloaded in PDF format. All members using these ranges are expected
to be familiar with these procedures.
Range Safety Officers (RSOs) must be present on a range before it can be used for general shooting. The RSO Page (accessible to Members Only) contains a list of the club's RSOs and the
latest RSO schedules. Other club schedules and reservations are contained on the Schedules page which is also accessible to Members Only.
Leagues:
The LSC currently sponsors 3 pistol teams in the Merrimac Valley Pistol League (MVPL) which runs from October through
March. Three to four trap teams are also sponsored in the Greater Lowell Trap League during the summer months between
April and September. The number of teams may vary each season, depending on the number of club participants.
